Safety Goggles and Candyland...How to Feel Better When You're Sick!

Hi all!  Happy January to you!

Little buddy has been sick with double ear infections, a horrible cold, and a really high fever.  :(  He sounded like a barking seal for a couple days, and now snot seems to be flying everywhere.  He is on the mend slowly but surely, and I'm thankful to be able to stay home with him during the invasion of the sickies.  We had some fun wearing his safety goggles from his tool bench and playing candyland.  I felt like my defenses were a little low (scratchy throat...and that is always a precursor for me...shoot), so I made up a great salad with romaine hearts, red leaf, spinach, parmesan, tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, and some Champagne Vinaigrette from the Nordstrom Cafe.  Oh it's my favorite dressing, and I LOVE that they sell it.  I wondered if they ever would, and they finally do...and it made its way into my stocking this year!  Thanks Mom and Dad!

I have a few updates around the house and would love to post about that soon.  Right now, my mind is focused on getting little buddy well, and keeping myself from getting sick.  So much to get caught up with...but there is no rush.  LIFE IS GOOD...and messes and piles and updates and projects can all wait a bit longer.

Oh and by the way, I'm not sure how many of you have little ones, but we hit a major milestone the other day in the life of being parents and having a little buddy in tow.  PRESCHOOL.  The time is here...and I can't believe it!  It is crazy to think we just signed Coop up for preschool.  Just crazy.  I was a little hesitant as it will be two years before he enters kindergarten, and to be honest, I was considering not even sending him to preschool at all...just because I love being his Mama so much!  It seems like just yesterday we brought him home.  Time seems to be FLYING by so quickly, and I want to cherish every moment with this little man before he becomes an ACTUAL man!  I might be a little jaded because I never even went to preschool, and it seems like EVERYONE and their Mom is going to preschool younger and younger these days.  I didn't want to just send him off because everyone else was doing it.  I hate that idea of trying to compete and keep up with other parents.  Not our thing.  So gross.  But after Husband and I considered it all, we can clearly see how much he will love and benefit from starting this fall.  Cooper is so fun and such a lover of life.  He will thrive on the interaction with other little buddies and the opportunities presented to him in a school setting.  Did I mention his preschool is on a FARM?  And his teacher just might be a CLOWN  on her off days?!  Yeah, I know.  I wanted to sign up too!

Anyway, we are working on getting rid of the sickies and gearing up to have a great January.  Cleaning, purging, and organizing are on my radar.

Blessings to you!
