This past weekend, we ventured off into the boonies for a Pumpkin Patch Adventure with my side of the family...planned by my sister and her honey. Finally reaching our destination, we ended up at a sweet little Mom and Pop run Pumpkin Patch and had a few moments of fun. We were the only ones there, and it was a delight. Being with my family was the best adventure of the day. I feel totally whole around them. The rain held off just long enough for us all to find the perfect pumpkins...with stems the size of our arms...seriously. Sharing just a few pictures from the day...
Fun day as a family. By the way, the farmer only charged $0.15 a pound for his pumpkins. We left with humongous pumpkins that would normally cost an arm and a leg at the commercialized pumpkin patches. Amazing!
Now we just need to get those pumpkins all cleaned up and arranged on the porch.
Do any of you like to head to a pumpkin patch for pumpkins each year?
Any family traditions?
With Coop a little older and more able, it is going to be interesting to see what our carving experience will be like this year.
Happy pumpkin hunting!
Enjoy your week!
