Happy Friday friends! Woo to the hoo for Fridays!
We've had some snow the last couple days. I was so thankful it came our way, as it's such a welcome dose of lovely after the grey, rainy, and cold gloomy weather we've been experiencing for quite a while now. During this time when winter seems like it should be over and spring shows signs of peeking through (the green daffodil stems are showing themselves in the backyard...yay!), the snow makes the cold feel worthwhile. Once it's gone...bring on the sun...please?!
Anyhow, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite authors...Max Lucado. His writing is very conversational...an easy read if you will...but also one that provides such thought provoking questions and calls to action. Max's (I feel like he's my buddy...we're on a first name basis.) books have helped me examine my life in many ways and offer such inspiration to be a better me...to be a better human being...to be better...period. His words lift you up, encourage you, challenge you, and lead you to seek God's will for your life. Have you had the opportunity to enjoy any of his books? Here are a few titles I love...if you click on them, you can read about them further over on Amazon.
Not only does he write for adults, but he also authors some fabulous books for children, all of which I would highly recommend...such great lessons for me...and my son! I especially love the stories he shares through the eyes of his Wemmicks. They are precious little wooden folk and their stories are a great reminder of God's love for us. Here are links to a few of my favorites...I love how you can look inside some of these books on Amazon! What a treat! Take a peek! Children's literature is one of my weaknesses for sure!
Hope you get a chance to love some of these great books as I have.
Happy weekend to you.
I say that with a big sigh of relief and smile on my face.
Just the word weekend makes me relax. :)
Hope it does for you too!
