Favorite Things Friday: Author Max Lucado

Happy Friday friends!  Woo to the hoo for Fridays!

We've had some snow the last couple days.  I was so thankful it came our way, as it's such a welcome dose of lovely after the grey, rainy, and cold gloomy weather we've been experiencing for quite a while now. During this time when winter seems like it should be over and spring shows signs of peeking through (the green daffodil stems are showing themselves in the backyard...yay!), the snow makes the cold feel worthwhile.  Once it's gone...bring on the sun...please?!

Anyhow, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite authors...Max Lucado.  His writing is very easy read if you will...but also one that provides such thought provoking questions and calls to action.  Max's (I feel like he's my buddy...we're on a first name basis.) books have helped me examine my life in many ways and offer such inspiration to be a better be a better human be better...period.  His words lift you up, encourage you, challenge you, and lead you to seek God's will for your life.  Have you had the opportunity to enjoy any of his books?  Here are a few titles I love...if you click on them, you can read about them further over on Amazon.

Grace for the Moment Morning & Evening Edition: Inspiration for Each Day of the Year   It's Not About Me: Rescue From the Life We Thought Would Make Us Happy   Lucado 3-in-1: Come Thirsty, Traveling Light, Next Door Savior

A Gentle Thunder: Hearing God Through the Storm (The Bestseller Collection)   Traveling Light: Premier Library Edition   He Chose the Nails: Premier Library Edition

Not only does he write for adults, but he also authors some fabulous books for children, all of which I would highly recommend...such great lessons for me...and my son!  I especially love the stories he shares through the eyes of his Wemmicks.  They are precious little wooden folk and their stories are a great reminder of God's love for us.  Here are links to a few of my favorites...I love how you can look inside some of these books on Amazon!  What a treat!  Take a peek!  Children's literature is one of my weaknesses for sure!

You Are Special (Max Lucado's Wemmicks)   If Only I Had a Green Nose (Max Lucado's Wemmicks)   You Are Mine (Max Lucado's Wemmicks)

Because I Love You   Best of All   The Oak Inside the Acorn

You Were Made to Make a Difference    God Thinks You're Wonderful    Just the Way You Are

Hope you get a chance to love some of these great books as I have.

Happy weekend to you.
I say that with a big sigh of relief and smile on my face.
Just the word weekend makes me relax.  :)
Hope it does for you too!

Many blessings,

  1. The Wemmick stories always make me cry ... which makes reading them out loud to the kids a challenge :)

The children's book of his that REALLY gets me though is "Just In Case You Ever Wonder" ... better read it first, get the sobs out and then share it with your boy. :)

Thanks so much for commenting here at Hallelujahs. It means so much to me. I read each and every one and am encouraged and inspired by you! I am shouting a big, "Hallelujah!" for your kindness!
