Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child

All our shoe boxes are packed, and we're ready to go!  We're heading to our church this evening to help stuff and rubberband shoe boxes full of goodies for sweet boys and girls in need around the world.

Packing boxes for Operation Christmas
Child at church just a few days old!

Sorry, I didn't snag a picture before cramming everything into the bins.  My Mom and I
shopped together and opted to buy the plastic bins, hoping that the kids could find other uses for
the bins after opening their gifts...a little more water and weather proof we thought.

Anyhow, we were able to pack...

Toothbrushes and toothpaste
24 pack of crayons
Coloring books
Flashlight with extra batteries
Cars for boys, My Little Ponies for girls
Huggable Teddy Bears

What can you pack in your shoe box?  Hurry, there is still time
(National Collection Week is November 15 - 22, 2010)
to pack a shoe box and make it to a drop off location!

How amazing is this young lady?

You can also read about Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child HERE.  This program gives us such an amazing opportunity to give to others during a time when we are given so much.  We have been given freedom, a freedom to worship and love our God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  As we celebrate his birth, please remember to celebrate the gifts He has so mercifully given us.

Plus, think of it this way, we are not all wired to travel the world as missionaries.  This program allows you to be a missionary in your own shopping cart home.  This is something everyone can do!  Go for it!
